Should I be using indepenent splits?
Hello,
Long time user and advocate of Backup4All
I am backing up an entire hard drive to FTP. I am using splits at 128MB so that when I need to restore a Word document, I don't have to download a bunch of hue zip files. However, in reading the documentation, it appears that if I do not use independent splits, I will still have to download ALL of the 128MB parts to restore a small document. Is that correct?
What is the most effecient way to do daily Differential backups of 100GB of data to an FTP site - to where it doesn't ta
ke hours to restore a small file?
Thanks!

Hi,
Yes, that is correct. In this case you should use the independent splits option.
