Scheduled backups / Windows Scheduler not working
I am running Windows XP SP3, Backup4All version 4.5, build 234 (trial version).
I have created backup jobs and run them manually successfully, but they do not run as scheduled tasks - I scheduled them within the job properties using Windows Task Scheduler. I do not have a Windows login enabled on my system for myself, nor a password - I am the only user on my system and my account has administrator rights. I have enabled within Bk4All the option to accept a blank password.
I have run a test task within Windows Scheduler and it has run properly.
Can you help me figure why they are not working automatically? I really appreciate your help. You always respond extremely quickly. Thank you in advance.

Re: Scheduled backups / Windows Scheduler not working
I have just further isolated at what point the automatic process is not working, AND I have been able to do a work-around to get a scheduled job to run automatically.
To get a scheduled backup job I created in Backup4All to run via Windows Task Scheduler I:
1) created, scheduled, and saved a backup job within Backup4All
2) opened up the Windows Task Scheduler's window
2) went into the properties of the job I had created in Backup4All
3) defined the scheduled time within THAT properties window and saved it, and
4) the backup task ran, even without Backup4All open and running.
So, I was able to get the backup job to run as a service, within Windows XP, without Backup4All running. BUT, I have to create the backup job and it's schedule WITHIN Backup4All, save the job, go into Windows Task Scheduler, re-define the schedule for that job in there and save it. It then works.
Do you folks at Support have any idea why this might be happening and how I can get it to all work from with my Backup4All?
Thank you in advance for any help / light you can provide.

Re: Scheduled backups / Windows Scheduler not working
Hi,
We do not have such problems here.
What is different in the scheduler task created by Backup4all and the one you created?
You can also try scheduling a backup job using the Built-in scheduler from Backup4all.

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
