Backup view not correct

Post by ganix »

Hello,

I've observerd that sometimes backup view is not correct because some backed-up files don't appear in the list. I've not been able to find a pattern for this behaviour. Two snapshots are included.

In the first one (fail01) 3 files where copied with total amont of 29 MB (correct) BUT in the above list only one of them is shown.
In the second one (fail02) 23 copied but only 9 are shown.

Notice that both examples filters are cleared.

Can you explain this behaviour?

Hi,

We cannot reproduce the problem here.
Please send us the backup catalog (bkc file) to support[at]backup4all[dot]com.
To find it, go to View->Open Folder->Catalog Folder.
If the file is large, please put it into a zip archive.

After receiving your backup catalog, we were able to see all files in Backup View. There is no problem here.
Please make sure you have the latest version of Backup4all.

Hi again,

I've found what the problem is!! Or at least I can reproduce it. In the images you attached in the last reply I observed that the "hide/show filters where different" from mine. I always have "excluded files" filter OFF because I'm just interested in wich have been backed up (Fig01).

If you part from this state ("excluded files" filter OFF) you can reproduce the problem. I send you a video-capture ilustrating the bug.

Hope this helps...

Hi,

The files are correctly shown here. Please see if you have this problem with all other backup jobs.

Hi,

Yes, this issue occurs with all jobs here -all with excluded files. I've emailed you a video-capture showing it. And yes, my program version is the latest one, downloaded from your website

Anyway I downloaded and installed program in a virtualized WinXP (fresh XP!), put both catalogs sent to you in Catalogs folder and... problem appeared. So I guess it's not very difficult to reproduce it with all the given tips... :|

Can I do anything to help you? ;)
