Make External Drive the Backup Location

Post by LuckyJack »

We select an external drive as our backup location. Then we select a folder to backup.......always photos from the C drive.

When we click "next" the backup location automatically returns to the C drive. Tried all the suggestions in the user's manual without results.

Thanks to those readers who may have had this challenge and willing to tell us how to solve it.

It's been frustrating eye.

Have version 4.6 Build 259. Backup4all Professional Edition.

Just tried another suggestion without success: New>Tools>options> Application folders> checked the box for "Override default destination folder".

Hope you can help. Thanks for replying.

Hi,

We don't have such problems here and no other client reports such a problem.
Please contact us by email to support[at]backup4all[dot]com to discuss how we can connect to your computer to see what the problem is.

Hi,

This user was confusing the source with the backup destination, that is why he selected Picasa folder from C: drive as both source and destination.
