Restore From Optical Disks: Too Many Disk Swaps

Post by wacole »

I have a 2-DVD backup disk set. I do a full restore to the original location. When I restore it, the restore process requires at least a dozen or more disk swaps before finishing. Is this the way it is supposed to work? I have a similar problem with other 2-DVD backup disk sets. It seems pretty excessive, not to mention time-consuming and is boarding on un-workable.

I ask this because I use Acronis 2009 for another backup process and it requires only 2 swaps on a 2-DVD disk set.

Thanks very much,

Bill Cole

Hi,

Normally, Backup4all will ask you to enter the last written disk and after that it will ask you for the fist disk (in case of 2 disks).
No other swaps should be necessarily.
Please send us the last restore log to support[at]backup4all[dot]com to see what the problem was.

Thanks very much. The Upload attachment process doesn't like .log .restore or .txt. How do I get the file to you?
