Need help with the filters

Post by dryheat122 »

I'm not quite sure how to set up the filters dialog. There are check boxes for user-defined, then below that there is "description" with "file name =" and a bunch of file types. If I uncheck the user defined, does that mean it will just apply the automatic filters and back up everything else? What is throwing me off is that list of file types.

Hi,

Automatic filters are predefined exclude filters created to exclude the most common temporary file types.

If you uncheck the "User defined" filters and you keep the "Automatic filters" checked, that means all your source files will be backed up, except the temporary files which matches the "Automatic filters".
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
