How to find latest backup of specific file without B4A installed

Post by David.P »

Hi forum & B4All Team,

my backups are stored as encrypted ZIP files online (in "the Cloud").

Now suppose I'm in holidays and don't have access to my home computer.

Is there a way to localize the specipfic ZIP file that contains the latest backup of a certain file? The related *.bkc file (catalog?) is accessible (since it is also saved online).

Thanks already for a quick hint,

Cheers David.P

URGENT

Now I even have installed B4A and opened the correct *.bkc file (on my laptop which is of course NOT the backup source PC). However, I can't see the backup's contents.

B4A only shows the files on the laptop that have similar paths like the files on the source PC -- but not the files INSIDE the backup.

Thus: how can I access (explore) the contents of the respective backup?

Please, it is urgent,

Regards David.P

Hi,

If you enable to see all files (new, modified, unchanged, exclude and removed) you will be able to see all of the in Explore View.
Select a file and in the bottom panel, you will see all available versions for that file.
Right click the latest version and select Restore.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
