Format of backup logs

Post by greenfirebird »

I have had to reinstall Backup4All version 9. The format of the backup logs is now different. Before the reinstall the backup log would individually list the files it had found to backup, it would then list the files it had added, and then it would list the files it had tested. Now after the reinstall the backup log simply gives the total of the files added. I prefer the former setting so I can see which files had been added.

Is this a new format or Is there some setting that I can adjust so once again I get a list of the files added?

Hi,

It seems that you had the detailed log activated before the reinstall.
Normally, all settings are preserved if you only reinstall Backup4all on the same computer.
To enable it, please open Backup4al, then go to File->Options->Logs and history.
Enable "Log detailed information" and "Unlimited size" options and press OK.
Next time you'll run a backup, the log file will be detailed.
