Files deleted at the source are not deleted at the destination

Post by pablozac »

I am testing the system for acquisition. I need an incremental backup and mirror at the same time. I chose the mirror type and selected the fast mirror option, which in my opinion is an incremental backup. However, when choosing this option, the system does not follow the remove excluded or deleted files from backup option. This option only works with fast mirror disabled. Which causes the full backup to run every time. This doesn't work for me due to the size of the backup. Does anyone have a solution for this bug?

Hi,

In order for the "Remove excluded and deleted files" option to work, you must have at least one file/folder new or modified to be backed up.
The removal phase is executed after the backup. If no files are found to be backed up, the backup is not executed, so the removal phase is not executed.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
