Cancelling testing phase after backup
Having spent over 33 hours backing up my files I am now faced with the testing procedure which will take another 33 hours.
If I cancel the test will it affect the storage and recovery process?

No, it does not affect the backup if you cancel the test. But without test, you will not be sure the backup is fine.
