Can't open backup configuration from S3 compatible storage
We are testing the backup tool and wanted to restore from a different client from a S3 compatible storage.
When we selected the already existing S3 online connection (for the backup job) after scanning for any .bkc files, nothing will show up. I don't know if it could connect or not, because there is no error message coming back.
We use the exact same configuration for the backup job itself.
I'll check the log files but maybe someone knows this issue already.

Hi,
Please download and install the latest version of Backup4all 9.8.656.
Do you still have the problem?

Re: Can't open backup configuration from S3 compatible storage
The problem is still persistent.
The backup job uploads the files without any problem into the specified bucket.
But it still can't find the .bkc file inside the bucket.
For the backup job and 'Open backup from' I use the same S3 configuration. But in 'Open backup from' the bucket is placed in front of the FQDN instead by the end (as in the backup job).
Maybe that's the problem that he cannot find the bucket with that URL?
I also tried entering the bucket as the folder so that the URl would look like 'https://default.s3.storage.com/default'. But it doesn't work.

Hi,
Isn't that an Amazon S3 account?
In that case, you should use the Amazon S3 destination type, not the S3 compatible one.

Re: Can't open backup configuration from S3 compatible storage
Hello,
No, I changed the URL just for showing purposes because didn't want to show the correct URL with bucket name etc. But I've just tested a different provider a few minutes ago and it worked. So it is an S3 incompability with that provider.
Therefore problem's solved. Sorry for the circumstances and thank you for your help end effort!

Hi,
I'm glad that you found an S3 provider which you can use.
