Problem with the implementation of a backup.

Post by agothika »

Hello, I have a little question for you.
I wish I implement a backup solution but I have some questions.
- First, implement a schema:
Monday full backup
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday incremental backup
How can I do to have a full backup on Monday, should I create two different backups or can I do everything in the same configuration?
- On the other hand, I will wish to keep all backups for a month and during the latter disappears, how should I do?

Thanking you in advance for your answers.

Cordially

Hi,

A single backup job is necessarily.

Please follow these steps:
1. Create an incremental backup job.
2. Schedule it to run every day from Tue to Fri using the default backup type
3. Schedule it to run every Monday using the full backup type.
4. Create a new scheduler to run once a month (in the beginning of the month) and clean all versions older than 1 week. That will erase all backup versions since last month.
