Where to get previous 9.8 version?

Post by coffee1978 »

Hi - after upgrading to 9.8.725, the backup catalog for my encrypted mirror backup is completely hosed. A simple quick test shows 21k errors for files missing in the destination, even though the files exist in the backup directory. I want to rollback to the previous b4a version to see if it is upgrade related. Please let me know where I can find previous 9.8.x versions - the Previous Versions page does not list any.

Thanks.

Hi,

The backup might be fine but the test after backup4all could be wrong.
Please run an independent test for that job in Backup4all by pressing the Test (F9) button.
Is the test without warnings?

No warnings. 21k of errors like this from Quick Test. A full Test across all 26TB will take a few days - I started it but already see a few of the same errors.

Something to note:

File mentioned in error "Y:\B4A\E Drive Mirror Backup\1\2933\2949\2950\2976\3726\F48313.zip" is actually located at "Y:\B4A\E Drive Mirror Backup\1\2933\2949\2808\438\3726\F48313.zip". The F48313.zip file in the destination has not changed since 2021, and none of the parent folders have changed in months. Nothing whatsoever has changed on the destination.

Nothing has changed in the source directory structure either - no name changes, nothing. The only thing that did change was the b4a version. Why b4a thinks unchanged source files are now located in a new directory on the destination is a problem. I could run a repair but that basically invalidates a large portion of my 26TB of backed up data (and creates 20TB of orphans that need cleanup) - that is not an option. Running a fresh backup is not an option.

Can I also get a link to the previous version. I am having strange issues with the latest build, some backups are taking longer and file progress and file count % go way over 100%

Hi,

We don't keep the previous builds online.
Please send us an email to support[at]backup4all[dot]com with the request and we will send you the previous build.
