Very slow restore for large files
Hi,
I've noticed backup4all is very slow at restoring large files.
I have tried to restore a single 110GB file from a backup a few times, and this generally takes about 5-6 hours.
The backup is configured as incremental (although this is the first in the series, so it is actually a full backup); it is also set as uncompressed and the files are set to split as 2GB files.
Both source and destination are local SATA6 drives, and I have lots (>250GB) free on source, destination and system drives.
If I manually unzip the constituent zips that make up this backup, they take less than 15s each, so I have no idea why backup4all is so slow.
Is this expected performance? Assuming not, any idea what I can try to speed this up?
Thanks,
Rob
