Upgrade 4.8 to 7.3
After many years successfully using 4.8 we are looking to upgrade to 7.3 to take advantage of cloud backups.
Can I do this as a direct upgrade install retaining all existing jobs or is it start from fresh ?
Cheers
Neil

Hi,
Yes, you can import the backup jobs and settings from version 4.
Just open Backup4all 7 and go to File->Tools->Import from version 4.
You can also just open in Backup4all 7 the .bkc catalogs from the backup destination. That will also import the backup jobs in Backup4all 7.

Re: Upgrade 4.8 to 7.3
I've now upgraded 4.8 to 7.3 and the existing backup job was auto imported on install.
However now getting an error in Backup Properties / Type - "Save storage space method not set or invalid (see "type" page)"
We do incrementals saving the last 10 versions without automatically making a full backup. I can't get past the error no mater what I select.

Hi,
Please go to Type->Storage page and set the limit for number of backups. Then press Save.

Thanks, that worked.
I had to quit the application, restart, then go directly to Type - Storage to avoid getting locked in the error dialogue.
