Post by Mondriaan »

Hello, i have the problem that BU4A not starts up after a restart, when uninstalling and reinstalling the problem still exists, when running an system restore with another backup program i got it at first back but when my system restarted i got the same problem. The program gives the possibility to send an email but does not accept web based mail. The message is as followed.

Hi,

We found the problem and we will fix it. It seems the latest Windows update for XP introduced this problem.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Hi, thanks for the fast fix. But during the installation I get this message: ;)
The file 'C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\ck\Lokale Einstellungen\Temp\CT\' is not a valid installation package for the product Backup4All Professional 4. Try to find the installation package b4apro.msi
And then:
The older version of Backup4all Professional cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group
Even when I copy b4apro.msi somewhere else and Browse for it, there is still the same error.
Do I have to uninstall the previous version?

Hi,

In this case, please uninstall the previous version of Backup4all. It seems the installation cannot continue for some reason.
Please log in using an administrator account and uninstall the previous Backup4all version.
Please note the backup configurations will be preserved.
