System cannot find file specified -Merge failed!

Post by Malhotra »

Hi Team:

Changed the destination drive to a larger drive.
Following is extracted from log file!
----------------
[14/06/2014 05:09:35] Starting test on "Server_Data" for backup number 540, the last backup number at 14/06/2014 05:09:35
Test finished at 14/06/2014 07:35:20, 305902 file(s) and 7952 folder(s) tested, 0 error(s) and 0 warning(s) found

[14/06/2014 07:35:20] Starting merge for backup numbers: 499, 500, 501, 502
[14/06/2014 07:35:20] Merging zip file F:\Backup4All\Server_Data\499_D.zip
[14/06/2014 07:35:20] Warning: Cannot open archive "F:\Backup4All\Server_Data\499_D.zip". The system cannot find the file specified --Merge failed
--------------------------------
How can I start the back up process as if there was no previous incremental backup history and continue on.
By the way, I don't want to format my new destination drive as there is other data!!
Thanks
Mohindar

Hi,

In order to start with a new backup history (from zero), please go to Backup Properties->Advanced.
In the "Run action before backup" section, select the <Clear backup> action, put it to run only once.
When you run the backup the history will be deleted and a new complete backup will be created.
