Scheduled backup error

Hi, I have an issue shutting off the backup4all automatically after the scheduled backup.

1) I set up a daily scheduled backup on Win 7 PC with Backup4all Pro V4.5.234.
2) It works, a notification email is sent to the administrator's email address upon completion of every backup job.
3) However, the backup4all doesn't shut off and showing "sending email" message even after a couple of hours.
4) the program can't be shut off or cancelled manually unless forced by using the Task Manager to end the program.

The backup file is saved, the email notification is sent (and received), but the program is showing "sending email" and can't be closed. How to fix this error?

Versions 1.x, 2.x, 3.x and 4.x of Backup4all are no longer supported. To benefit from support and the added functionality we highly recommend upgrading to the latest version.
