S3 Custom Region
Hi,
I want to use backup4all to upload backup to the custom S3 hosted by OVH.
But the server request a custom value for region, in my case he ask the value 'RBX'.
It's possible to use a custom region for S3 destination?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
In OVH documentation the endpoint includes the region name.
For example, you must use this format for endpoint: https://s3.<region>.io.cloud.ovh.net
What is the region you used in endpoint address?
See more details here: https://help.ovhcloud.com/csm/en-public ... =KB0047384

Re: S3 Custom Region
Thanks for your reply.
I use this endpoint : "https://s3.rbx.io.cloud.ovh.net/"
When I try this configuration (first attachment),
I got this error(2n attachement).
For a internal project with the c# S3 SDK, I had to add the 'rbx' region for it to work.
My screenshot not use the latest version of B4A (9.9 Build 855).
But in the lastest version the value default is not present.(Build 869)
Thanks.

Hi,
Please remove the "/" at the end of the endpoint.
Also try to use an unique bucket name. This one might be already used by someone else.

Hi,
It changes nothing.
It's possible to show log with the error more explicit?
Thanks

Re: S3 Custom Region
Hi,
Please use an existing bucket name. Do you have the same problem?
The log is generated only for backup executions.
You can save the current configuration and run a backup with it.
Then send us the last backup log to support[at]backup4all[dot]com

Re: S3 Custom Region
Hi Thanks for your help.
I have removed the 'https' in the endpoint, and i have try to start a backup.
And I get this error :
"Bad Request - The authorization header is malformed; the region 'us-east-1' is wrong; expecting 'rbx' (AuthorizationHeaderMalformed) [] (400)"
I send the log file to the support email address.
Thanks

Re: S3 Custom Region
Hi,
It seems there was some misconfiguration and the client was able to run the backup successfully after checking again the OVH configuration in Backup4all.
