Renaming Tak Files

Post by Amer786 »

I have 4 differed Jobs scheduled: Incremental backup, Differential Backup, Full Backup and Cleanup. The task file for for each of these jobs are as follows: b4a_laptop.job, b4a_laptop.job(1), b4a_laptop.job(2), b4a_laptop.job(3). My question is, how can I rename these jobs so that they dont have those annoying brackets ie how do I assign custom names to jobs?

Hi,

At this moment, you cannot change the name of the scheduled tasks.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Hi tqmbill,

it's not a problem of B4A, but it's a lack of windows. You can not rename scheduled tasks in windows directly. You have to do some more steps: Export task into xml file; delete task in scheduler; import task via xml with a new name.

For detailed description read this: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/rename-sc ... -scheduler

@Support: Another try to implement this feature? 8-)
