Not enough disk space error

Post by surfgate »

Ver 5, Build 468
I have an error that is driving me crazy. My Backups are failing to merge because of the following error:
'Zip error: Not enough room to write archive (K:\Backup4All\Daily ZENOKO - New\1.zip). There is not enough space on the disk
Merge failed!'

The crazy thing is that the K: drive in question has over 2Ter available. The Backup4All app is also installed on the a drive (other than C:) and that drive also has plenty of space. Am I missing something with the way Backup4All works? Does it need to have huge disk space requirements on the Win 7 OS drive (C:) in order to function?

Any help or guidance would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks
Wayne

Hi,

Please go to File->Options->Application folders.
Put the temporary folder on a drive with plenty of free disk space.
By default is trying to use the C: drive.

Thanks for the reply.
I had previously already changed the 'Override Temporary folder' to a drive with over 2T of space, but that made no difference.

Do I need to override all of the various Application folders or just the Temporary folder?

Anyone know if Backup4all have a size limit on the zip files it can create?

Hi,

There is not a limit in Backup4all for the zip size, we found there is a problem that the changed location of temp folder is not working fine in build 483. We will fix that.

Aah ok. Can you confirm what temp folder will build 438 be trying to use currently? i.e. given the issue with the override, where will it default back to?
