no shutdown after backup execution if user is logged out...

Post by jockel »

Hi,

using B4all 4.4.213 on winXP-SP3, all MS-patches applied.
I have scheduled a backup job as a task and added the shutdown
option after execution of the backup.
As long as a user is logged in, the backup is done and the PC is then shut down.
If no user is logged in, then the backup job is running o.k., but there is no shutdown!
Even if the shutdown fails, if I have a look at the log, the shutdown is
mentioned as the last point of the log.

What can I do to make the PC shut down, even if no user is logged in ?

Thank you
Jo

Hi,

We will fix that problem.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Hi,

great news, thank you for looking into this!
I should simply wait for the next official build to have that fixed?

Hi support,

any update about a fix for that problem ?
We run about 25 desktops which now remain logged in for the shutdown to happen
at the end of the backup. We realy did expect a quick fix for that problem
as indicated with your previosu post?

Hi,

Until the problem is fixed, please create a test.bat file containing only shutdown -s
In Backup Properties->Advanced, select this file to be executed after the backup.
Press Save.
