Need "Differential" Clarified

Post by hndygmc » Thu May 29, 2014 1:54 pm

When a differential save is performed does the system look for any change to any file in a folder and if it sees any change it then copies the entire folder vs. just the changes file? Is it possible to save only the specific file that has changed?

Hi,

When you run a differential backup, the program is looking for all new and modified sources since the last Full.
If you want to backup the new and modified files since the last backup (full, differential or incremental), you need to run an incremental backup.
