Multi-disc backup failed: SQL error... unable to open database file

Post by brian12345 »

Hello,

I'm running Backup4all 7.4 (registered) on a Windows 10 machine. During a multi-disc mirror backup, on disc 7, I received the error:

Backup aborted. Reason:
SQL error - Sqlite_backup_finish, unable to open database file (14) (SQL3.2)

<Full log included below because it seems trying to upload a .txt attachment to the forum is broken...>

This is the second time I've received this error; previously I was running V6.x and paid for the upgrade hoping to have a better multi-disc experience. I am running Kaspersky Internet Security 18.0.0.405. Backup4all is listed as an unrestricted application inside Kaspersky.

I have two questions:
1. What can be causing this error, and how do I overcome it?
2. Can backup4all be changed so that it can recover / continue-after-restart from this (and other!) error during a multi-part backup?

As per question 2, I'm doing multi-disc bluray m-disc backups, and it is very time consuming to track down exactly what has been backup up so far, and manually copy the remaining data to backup to a new location for me to try running the backup again. If Backup4all could retry the operation, or save its state so I could later resume the backup, that would be a very welcome change!

Brian.
