Mirror on Blu-ray - file names corrupted

Post by Walter »

Hi,

I am new to backup4all and am still working with the demo version. In general I am very happy with the program.
Now I got the following problem:
I have a 3 TB hard drive which is formatted in ExFat and has several hundred audio files which have been written on the hard drive with macos X, while the blue-ray burner is in my PC.
From 46GB of the audio files (the maximum for a double layer blu-ray) I made a mirror copy to blu-ray.
Burning of the disc was processed as normal, but checking the disc did not work, because all the file names have been cut down to a few numbers/letters of the beginning of the original file name.
For example:
"301005.02 file name of an audio file with up to 256 letters and numbers.aif"
has been cut to:
"3010"
This happened to most of the files, some have also part of the file name, but no file has the full correct file name.
All files start with a number like 123456.12.
More examples from the blu-ray disc:
"301837.02 S"
"301837.03 SIN"
"301837#13CB"

What to do?

Hi,

Please send me the last backup log from View->Job Logs->Last backup log to support[at]backup4all[dot]com
Also please send me the .bkc backup catalog file for that job from the backup destination.
