limiting the amoutn of backup files on the drive

Post by lbennett »

If I go to backup>type>limit to 7 days worth of backups, how does this work? on day 8 will it write over day 1's backup file? I hope it does, that is what we are trying for.

Hi,

What is the backup type you use?
Do you use the "Merge backups" option?
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

We are doing a full backup, no merge.

Hi,

Yes, that is how it works: in the 8th day, it overwrites the 1st backup.
