Installation on Windows Server Core?

Post by jango_fett »

I noticed Backup4All can be installed via command-line options so I attempted to install it on server core but I don't see the service. Can B4A be installed and ran on Server Core?

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, Backup4all can be installed on Windows Server Core.
Please use the following command:
b4asetup-full.exe /quiet /norestart

Thanks! During installation I did get a popup message - "Cannot find 'oledlg.dll. Please, re-install this application". The service is started so I assume this message is harmless?

Hi,

If the installation continues and finishes, that should be no problem.
