How to get only one (1) zip file for backups from multiple HDD´s?

Post by Yamaha »

I do video editing and have seven hard drives with project files, etc for ongoing projects on those HDD´s. If i create a backup with files on let´s say only D:\ the resulting zip file is named FileName.1_D.zip. But for me that select files and folders from several HDD´s i can get five files such as:
FileName.1_D.zip
FileName.1_E.zip
FileName.1_F.zip
FileName.1_G.zip
FileName.1_H.zip

Is there a way to just get one zip file in this scenario?

I have searched in the app but cannot find anything about it. For example, if i use True Image or NovaBackup i get one resulting file per backup and from a file management perspective that is superior.

I am using a trial version today looking to find a replacement app for True Image.

Hi,

You cannot get the backup from all drives into a single zip file, using Backup4all. The source drive letter will always be used in the zip file name.
If you want to ever restore a backup manually (without using Backup4all), you will easily know which file/folder from which drive is.
