How to backup registry entries?

Post by marcpt »

Hello everyone,

Having used Backup4all for years, I recently realised that it can also be used to back up registry entries. I rarely need this feature, but it is undoubtedly useful. Up to now, saving registry entries has been a rather complicated process.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any instructions for saving registry entries in the help file or by searching on the website. Can someone please help me?

Hi,

Backing up registry is not a problem, but if you restore them after a while when different modifications were made by Windows, your OS installation might get corrupted. As Backup4all was not designed to back up Windows OS, you cannot back up both Windows OS and registry.
Restoring an older version of the Registry might get some applications or the OS broken.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
