Email hangs after upgrade to v4.9

Email hangs after upgrade to v4.9

Email worked fine with v4.8 but fails after 4.9. Win Server 2008 (not R2).

Error msg after backup job:
Faulting application b4aCMD.EXE, version 4.9.0.291, time stamp 0x51d52694, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x00000000, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00200067, process id 0x3918, application start time 0x01ce7c3fa3855c0b.

Error msg after email test:
Faulting application Backup4all.exe, version 4.9.0.291, time stamp 0x51d52677, faulting module bckEmail.dll [or unknown or Backup4all.exe], version 1.0.0.0, time stamp 0x51d3d83a, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00002463, process id 0x294c, application start time 0x01ce7bc7ac5739cb.

Tried adding Data Execution Prevention exceptions for Backup4all.exe and b4aCMD.exe, but no help.

Hi,

Please follow these steps:
1. Download and extract DebugView from http://download.sysinternals.com/files/DebugView.zip
2. Start DebugView
3. Start Backup4all and send us the debug log to support[at]backup4all[dot]com

I've give up. There seems to be no fix. Tried "Repair" installation no help. Might uninstall and reinstall v4.8. Or maybe v4.9. Else just do without email. Just seems suspicious to me that v4.9 upgrade was mainly an email enhancement and just happened to break what used to work. But I und. I'm the only one with the problem, so maybe it's just my configuration. Not worth the time/effort any further.
