Does Backup4all use iCloud as a Source?
I want to archive iCloud files & photos to an External Hard Disk Drive using Backup4all. Is this possible?
There is a clumsy partial workaround for iCloud photos. Apple can export iCloud photos to Google Photos: https://support.apple.com/en-us/118257 "Transfer a copy of your iCloud Photos collection to another service". "You can request to transfer a copy of photos and videos you store in iCloud Photos to Google Photos". Google Photos can be exported to Google Drive using Google Takeout zip files https://takeout.google.com/. And Google Drive can be exported to an External Hard Disk Drive using Google Drive Desktop.
If it is not possible to archive iCloud files & photos to an External Hard Disk Drive using Backup4all, does anyone have a better work-around?

Hi,
You can install iCloud application on your Windows PC.
The local folder will be created: "C:\Users\<YourUser>\iCloudDrive\"
Right click that folder and select "Always keep on this device".
After you can back up your files directly from "C:\Users\<YourUser>\iCloudDrive\" to your external drive using Backup4all.

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
