Currently open bugs in version 9.9 build 999
- If you start creating new backup job and immediately switch to advanced view, the first option (backup name) is not chosen by default
- If you create a backup job, and later change the backup name, the original name persists in backup destination
- A backup with block level backup being activated, is not showing scanning progress and doing first pass might take like 24++ hours (backup was 9 TBs of video files, had to try cancel/stop - and would not cancel or stop --> had to reboot the computer and delete the backup job and start without block level backup)
- Scheduled tasks are not shown in job schedule window, but can be seen in windows scheduled tasks
- Scheduled tasks are not removed from windows scheduled tasks if a job is deleted
- The dialogs timeout and disappear by default

Re: Currently open bugs in version 9.9 build 999
Hi,
1.Switching to "Advanced mode" from New Backup Wizard, from "Destination" page, leads you to "Destination page" on advanced mode. We will change that to lead you to "General" page where you can set the backup job name.
2. What destination type did you used? Normally, the backup job is changed in destination, but there are cases when the destination name cannot be changed.
3. The backup with "block backup" option enabled will take longer. It depends on the amount of data and the size of the blocks.
4. Did you scheduled the backups to run under the currently logged in user? Please note that In Backup4all, if you go to "Backup Properties->Scheduler" you can see only the tasks for the currently logged in user.
All tasks are available in Control Panel->Administrative tools->Scheduled tasks.
5. If you delete a backup job, its tasks should be deleted too.
6. It depends on the dialog type. The ones less important have an expire time of 2 minutes which can be configured from "File->Options->Notifications"
Can you send us some more information about that, to support[at]backup4all[dot]com ?

Re: Currently open bugs in version 9.9 build 999
Hi,
1) Excellent!
2) NAS destination (Samba share)
3) Could an estimate be provided?
4) I guess I used currently logged in user (the default setting?) - I can see the tasks from windows scheduled tasks but it's annoying not knowing from backup job properties if I have already scheduled it.
5) Please verify this, the job(s) persist
6) I will check what options there are.
Thank you!

Re: Currently open bugs in version 9.9 build 999
Hi,
2. Is the NAS used in Backup4all as LAN destination or as FTP destination?
3. I created a ticket to display an estimation time.
4. & 5. I could not reproduce the problem here. If you create a new backup job and schedule it using the current user, does the scheduled task appear?
Do you use an administrator account?

Hi,
2) NAS is the "LAN" destination (windows share).
4&5) No schedules appear in backup4all UI at all, I can only see schedules using stock windows task scheduler app. I'm not running backup4all as admin.

Hi,
2). Backup jobs can be renamed on LAN destinations. Did you get any errors/warnings when renaming the backup job in Backup4all?
4). Can you give me access to your computer using AnyDesk, to see what the problem is?

..
I did some debugging and in case scheduled tasks are stored in sqlite database in backup4all.sch file, it has only one table with no content.

Hi,
Try to create a new scheduled task for a backup job and make sure you set the current user account to run the task. Does it appears in Backup Properties->Scheduler?
If you use a non-admin account, try to see if the same issue appears if you use an admin account. To make sure that is not a custom user limitation configured for that account.
