Connect to IPv6 Host via SFTP
Hi,
I have a private local linux server in my home office which is only accessible via IPv6. From a windows server 2025 in a public datacenter, I try to connect to the private server via SFTP.
On the console, the connection works fine, but with Backup4all, I get the error "other winsock error 96260".
The host name is resolved properly and "ping -6" is working fine, too (the destination host answers).
I appreciate your help.
Best regards,
Manuel

Hi,
Please create us a temporary SFTP account on your server and send us the login details to support[at]backup4all[dot]com

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
