[Backup4All 9.7] Access Violation exception

Post by pari »

Hi,

When I run a "Specular Copy" backup to AWS S3, the backup fails and the log contains:

...
Warning: Uploading file "\\?\UNC\[path_to_file]\[file].rar" to Amazon S3 server: Cannot connect to the Amazon S3 server (remotestorage1003)
[24/07/2022 02:17:40] Closing file "[other_path]\[backup_name].bkc"
Backup aborted. Reason:
Access violation at address 014019AC in module 'bBackup.exe'. Read of address 00000014

Notes:
1. The "Cannot connect to the Amazon S3 server" only appears halfway through the backup
2. I'm running an up-to-date version of the software
3. Right now, I disabled the use of Windows copy API

How can I solve this?

Thanks,

Hi,

Please open Backup Properties->Advanced page.
Under “Multithreading performance”, set the limit of threads to 1.
Press Save and see if you still have the problem.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
