Backup without compression?

Post by AnneW »

One of my backup jobs is intended to keep my laptop work copied onto the NAS, i.e. keeping certain folders in sync. My "Projects" job is creating a zipped file in the correct destination. I can't seen any settings that would allow me to simply copy the missing files to that destination. Is it possible?

Hi,

Please use the Mirror backup type to create in destination an exact copy of the source files without zipping them.
To change the backup type to Mirror, please open Backup Properties->Types and select Mirror, then press Save.

Hah! The reason I'd rejected that option is that I was afraid that it would remove files that are not on this laptop. Now I see that "remove" is optional, I can use it with confidence. Thanks.
