Backup stuck on Update Catalog after backup
I have noticed that my backups are getting stuck on the "update catalog" part of the backup. Strange thing is that it seems to affect Seagate USB drives more than WD.
I did a new backup (Mirror backup +- 680GB). When I ran the job an hour later, the catalog update took over 2hrs to run (only 40 files ). I could not stop the job and had to kill all application processes to stop it.
The catalog file is too large to email (48mb) - I can send to you via wetransfer if that is ok

Re: Backup stuck on Update Catalog after backup
I've got latest update 9.8 and this problem NOT fixed!! I too have a Seagate external HD and been on the update catalog for probably about same time, 2 hours, maybe more. Making this an insult to injury, finally did resolve issue of spontaneous lockout/shutdowns (was the laptop battery, just took it out), so would REALLY like this resolved like right Now.

Dear JennaB
The problem you have might be from a different cause. In order to investigate it, please send us the last backup log and the .bkc catalog file to support[at]backup4all[dot]com

Re: Backup stuck on Update Catalog after backup
Hi,
I'm also getting the same issue where it gets stuck at Update catalog. I have the back up going to a Synology NAS DS1821+. Any assistance will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Juan
