backup aborted

Post by assysoft »

Hi,

I'm using backup4all on different servers, and i am pretty satisfied with it. Although one problem seems to pop up now and then, as i have one server now but now i can't get rid of it.

[6/06/2013 20:00:01] Error: Back-up Aborted. Cause:
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (C:\Users\ITmanager\AppData\Roaming\Softland\Backup4all Professional 4\bkcFiles\Modest to NAS.bkc)
Back-up afgebroken op 6/06/2013 20:00:01 met 1 fout(en), 0 waarschuwing(en)
[6/06/2013 20:00:01] Email sturen aan "[email protected]"

I'm not backing up files that are in use.
I see no VSS errors in my windows log files.
(There is also no mentioning of which file is being used by another process)
I searched and searched but i can't seem to find the problem.
Server in this case is a Windows 2008 standard with ServicePack 2.

Any help would be appreciated,
Regards,
Jo

Hi,

Please make sure no other user/application is using this file Modest to NAS.bkc.
Also make sure you don't have Backup4all interface open and the "Modest to NAS" job selected while the scheduler tries to update that job.

As asked i closed the backup4all interface (that was open) and my backups went fine this night.
I will follow up on this, and in case of problems, i'll post backup.

Thanks for the help and support,
Regards,
Jo
