B4A6 Not enough disk free space to make incremental backup

Post by WieMie »

Since updating to Backup4All 6 Pro my incremental backups no longer work (I have recreated the backup jobs already, that does not fix the problem). Somehow it keeps complaining about insufficient diskspace (even though there is enough diskspace available).

I have noticed a few odd remarks in the log:
- Checking backup destination () which is interesting; de destination is OneDrive and a fullbackup is first stored in the TEMP-directory
- Opening file ":memory:" while the backup destination will be on OneDrive
- Free disk space=-3873934426 a negative free disk space seems to be an overflow issue
- First it notices there's not enough space for an incremental backup, then it shows a message about a fullbackup (backuptype = SMART)

I have tried to switch off the in memory catalog but it doesn't change anything
Store temporary catalog data in memory: No

I now seem to have exactly the same problem. There is plenty on room on the drive.

I have the same program, I'm trying to save to a window share. I have 1.33 TB of free space on the destination I am trying to save the backup to.

Hi,

Please make sure you have enough free disk space in temp folder, where the zip file is created. Also you can split the backup in Backup Properties->Compression page and you should select the "Create independent splits" and "Always use temporary folder to create zip archives" options.
If you still have the problem, please send us the last backup log for that job.
