Assign Notes to Backup-Runs - Not Jobs

Post by onesong »

Hello!

I don´t know if this is possible:

We have some backup-jobs and run them manually from time to time depending on how and when our system was updated.
So, it would be very informative to assign a manual note to a certain backup-run with info like "Backup before update xxx" or "Backup because important changes xxx have to be made".
I understand that one can assign a note to a job, but have not found a way to write down information within Backup4All for individual job runs.

Is there a way to do this? If not, this would be a cool new feature, in my opinion! :D

hi,

We will think about your suggestion.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Hi,

We suggest you to use the backup labels to assign notes for each backup run.
You can enter for each label information about that backup execution.
You can have the Label list near the backup executions list in Explore View, Test, Backup View and so on.

To enable the Labels, please open Backup Properties->Advanced
Check the "Ask for backup label before execution" option.
