8.9.419 installer fails on Windows 11

Post by Xyzzy »

Hello,

The 8.9.419 shows "unsupported system" when trying to install it, while v8.9.382 works OK. I understand that I should just stay with the current version and the newer versions of v8 are Win10 only, right?

BTW, the same is with 7.5.561. When trying to upgrade from inside the program, installer shows message that Win 11 is just not supported and starts (but does not complete). Installer donwloaded from b4a site refuses even to start.

Hi,

You can remain with your current version, or you can upgrade to Backup4all 9.
We recommend the upgrade to Backup4all 9 as it's currently under development. If there are Windows updates that affects its functionality, they will be fixed in version 9.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
