Re: Can't use Windows task to sschedule backups

Hi,

Please create the task from Backup4all to avoid any mistakes.
There needs to be a space between "AJ" and "-priority 2"

Re: attempt backup based on availability of destination

Hi,

In File->Options->Backup, there is a section: "When destination not ready".
Please reduce the number of retries and press OK.

Re: After upgrading to 9 the service on 8 is still running and not automatically shutdown/disabled

Hi,

That is correct. Backup4all 9 is installed as a different application than Backup4all 8.
After you install Backup4all 9 and you import the backup jobs from version 8, you can manually uninstall Backup4all 8. It will not be automatically uninstalled.

Re: Lost Prior Backup Jobs when upgrade to Version 9

Hi,

After you import the backup jobs in Backup4all 9, they will be removed from version 8.
If for some reason the backups no longer appears in Backup4all 9, please open the .bkc catalogs from the backup destination. The backup jobs will be recreated in Backup4all.

Re: attempt backup based on availability of destination

Hi,

Backup4all will check at the beginning of the backup if the network destination is connected.
If it cannot be reached, the backup will abort without scanning the files.
