Re: Scheduled "Tag" job breaks backup engine

Hi, The scheduled task calls the bSchedStarter.exe process which uses the IPC Server (bservice.exe) to start the actual backup process. From the information you provided, it seems the IPC Server could not be reached and the backup was not executed. Please put the bservice.exe process in the exceptio...

Re: Smartest way to replace a ”source folder” disk to a larger

Hi, You can replace the source drive with no problems. Backup4all will mark the source missing files as deleted as they are missing from source drive, but it will include the new source files. If you are using the Mirror backup type, please make sure the “Remove excluded or deleted files” option is ...

Re: Restore files from crypted .zip without .bkc

Hi,

You can extract the .zip files (created by Backup4all) using any zipping tool as WinZip, 7zip etc.
You said the files are different from the ones you backed up.
Did you extracted the latest backup version?

Re: restore backup job

Hi,

Please install Backup4all and then open in Backup4all the .bkc catalog file from OneDrive.
Use "File->Open Backup From" option to do that.
After opening the catalog file in Backup4all you will be able to easily restore the backup by pressing the Restore button.

Re: Password not Setting

Hi,

We don't have such problems here.
1. What version of Windows do you have?
2. Do you have a password set for your Windows user account on that computer?

Re: same source in multiple PC´s

Hi, You can do that only if the source structure is the same on each PC. You need to create a similar backup job for each source PC. Use the Mirror backup type in Backup4all. In Backup Properties->Destination, you select the destination folder In "Backup Type->Mirror", uncheck the "Create full paths...
