Hi,
You should be able to use Backup4all with Wasabi (as Amazon S3 compatible destination).

Please make sure the antivirus is not blocking that process.
You can also use the "shutdown.exe /f" parameter in Backup Properties->Advanced page.

Dear Istvan, Please open Backup Properties->Type and select "Incremental". Then press Save. Next time you run the backup, there will only be increments executed. The problem in your case is that Smart is trying to keep a proportion of the backups executed. For example, when you have a Full of 50 GB ...

Yes, that is correct.
Backup4all cannot restore files and folders copied in destination by another applications.
It will restore only the files it backed up.

In the first description you said the destination is an USB drive. That is why I gave you that solution.
If the backup job destination is a SFTP server, that solution does not work, as you cannot select sources from SFTP.
