Yes, Backup4all is fully compatible with Windows 8 both 32-bit and 64-bit editions.

Hi,

Please make sure the backup4all.exe process is closed (in Task Manager).
Go to "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Softland\Backup4all Professional 4\" and rename the "Layout.ini" file.

Hi,

The problem is not with Backup4all, users usually find the problem on their side or we help them to find the problem.
Usually the settings are not correct.

Have you tried sending emails using GMail settings as posted above?

Hi,

Did you install it when installing Backup4all? There was a checkbox for that.
You can also try to find the gadget in the Backup4all installation folder.
Double click on it.

Hi,

Please try to right click on your desktop and select Gadgets.
Double click the Backup4all gadget and it should appear on your sidebar.

Hi, If you check the option to lock the destination to that external drive, that means you lock the destination to THAT external drive.
