Re: Backup on shutdown

Hi,

We made some changes in the latest release which also correct some bugs for backup at shutdown.
Please install version 5.3.704 of Backup4all.

If the limited used can shutdown the computer, Backup4all should run at shutdown.

Re: How to manage backup groups

Hi,

In version 5 of Backup4all we use tags instead of groups. They replaced the backup groups having multiple ways to be used.
To create a tag, right click on the left side column and select New tag.

Re: How to Upgrade

Hi, Backup4all 4 and Backup4all 5 are different applications, that is why they are installed different. This is how they were designed to work as different applications. In version 5, the entire application was redesigned and also the processes are running differently. The import of the backup jobs,...

Re: how to use named file filter

Hi,

You must define the filters in File->Options->Filters, in order to be able to use them in other backup jobs.

Re: Remove Deleted Files From Destination After Certain Time Period?

Hi,

There isn't such an option to remove the deleted files from destination if you use the limit file versions.
We have plans to implement such an option in future.

At this moment, the only way to remove the deleted files from destination is to use Mirror backup type.
