Re: Restore Backup4all backup and recognize old backups

Hi, First, please note Backup4all was not designed for system backups, but for data files backups only. You tried to manually restore the Backup4all configurations but you did that incompletely as there are also registry entries involved. That seems to be the cause of the expiring trial as not all p...

Re: Multiple destinations

Hi,

In the article that is the solution we recommend: make the first backup locally in a zip file then create a mirror of the zip file to the second destination. They will be identical.

Re: Customizing backup file names

Hi,

The first sequential number is the backup execution number for that job and that cannot be removed from the file name. Also the drive letter has to remain in the file name.

You can customize the file name from Backup Properties->Type page, under “Customize prefix of backup files” section.

Re: Multiple destinations

Hi,

As described in that article, the only way to back up to multiple destinations is to configure multiple identical jobs, each of the job pointing to a different destination. Scheduling the backup tag will run all jobs one after another, each of the jobs will copy the files to a destination.

Re: Bullet proof daily/weekly/monthly backup help please

Hi,

When setting up a Cleanup action, there you have the checkbox: "Do not delete full backups". Please make sure you selected it.

You should run a full backup again, you cannot export it.

Re: Bullet proof daily/weekly/monthly backup help please

Hi, I'm not sure if I correctly understand what you are trying to achieve. Backup4all will copy all the new and modified files as they are at the current time. In order to have all the deleted files in one backup, you need to create a full backup of all sources before they are deleted. In your case,...

Re: Multiple destinations

Hi,

In version 5 of Backup4all you can create backup tags. Put the jobs in the same tag and schedule the tag. They will be executed one after the other.

Re: FTP Restore

Hi,

If you have access to the computer storing the backup files, you can install it there and load the catalog in order to perform the restore. Please note before that you need to deactivate Backup4all from the first computer as one license can be used on a single computer at a time.
