Re: Restoring

Hi,

Yes, that is correct. You can extract the archives with any zipping tool which is also able to handle the encryption you used.

Re: Duplicate Object Index

Hi,

It seems there are 2 files with the same name in the same folder. You can try to find the files, or create a new backup job.

Re: v5 backup can't restore to v4 - not compatible

Hi, Please note you cannot open a backup catalog of Backup4all with an older version than it was created. You can open it with a newer version. Re: Licence upgrade

Hi,

Yes, that is correct. In your case, you need to purchase a new license of Backup4all 6 in order to use both licenses in the same time.

Re: Merge Backups

Hi,

The fist backup is Full. It is the base for all subsequent backup executions. Deleting it will make the rest of the backups unusable in case of restore.
You should have a new full in order for Backup4all to delete the older one.

Re: Show Speed

Hi,

Can you give us more details about the problem?
What version of Backup4all do you have?
The speed is slow comparing with previous executions? or with another program.
Can you send us the last backup log to support[at]backup4all[dot]com ?

Re: Suggestions on setting up server backup

H,

You can try the beta version of Backup4all 6.
In Backup Properties->Compression, set the split limit size at the value you want and also select the "Create independent splits" option. That will create each split only after the previous one is removed from temp.
