Re: ChilkatLog sending email error.

Hi, I did read your post. I responded you based on the information you provided. You forgot to tell us the problem exists only if the job was scheduled. Only in your second post, you mentioned the email works when you manually execute the backup. Please let us know: is there any user logged on at th...

Re: Restore issues

Hi,

Please send us a screenshot with the message asking for the password, to understand which one it is.
Email it to support[at]backup4all[dot]com
Did you used a password for the zip file when you ran the backup?

Re: Can I merge backups?

Hi, If you select the option to limit number of file versions to "n", on Backup Properties->Compression page, the "Create independent splits" option will be also selected. You don't have to create a new backup job. The current backup job will have the "Create independent splits" option selected. Bac...

Re: Can I merge backups?

Hi,

Backup4all informs you another option has to be selected and it will be selected if you want to continue. The restore will be properly handled by Backup4all.
Only the type of zip split is changed. The number of splits will be the same.

Re: Can I merge backups?

Hi,

You can set a limit for the number of backup versions in Backup Properties->Type->Storage page.
On the same page, you can select the "Merge backups" option.
When you run again the backup, the old backup versions to be deleted will be merged.

Hi,

Please send us the Backup4all installation log file from "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Temp\"
Do you have the same problem if you first download the setup from our website and then install it?

Hi,

The scheduled tasks are located in Tasks Scheduler, under Control Panel. See if you can find them in C:\Windows\Tasks.

Re: Does b4a do "real time" syncing?

Hi,

You are correct, that is a syncing feature. Backup4all is a backup application, it does not make a real-time mirroring, but you can schedule it to run every few minutes.
