Re: Painfully long time when launching program (~80 seconds)

Hi, The problem could be caused by some slow accessing drives connected to your computer or by a specific backup job. Can you tell us what is the phase listed when the program stays longer on startup? Here is what you can try: 1. Close Backup4all 2. Rename the following folder containing your Backup...

Re: B4A6 Not enough disk free space to make incremental backup

Hi, Please make sure you have enough free disk space in temp folder, where the zip file is created. Also you can split the backup in Backup Properties->Compression page and you should select the "Create independent splits" and "Always use temporary folder to create zip archives" options. If you stil...

Re: Can I merge backups?

Hi, It seems you selected a different limit option: Limit the number of file versions. That is another type of limit and it works totally different. That is why you see multiple backup files in destination, than the limit you set. The limit is for the number of file versions and it applies to each f...

Re: Have issue with mirror copy and destination directory

Hi,

Yes, that is possible with Backup4all: run the first full locally and then move the backup to SFTP.
Here is an article about how to do that: http://www.backup4all.com/kb/backup-str ... p-239.html

Re: Have issue with mirror copy and destination directory

Hi, Please note Backup4all uses its own backup catalog to determine which files were backed up. Were those files copied in destination by Backup4all? if not, the source files will be backed up again by Backup4all. You can use a filter to include only files with date modified after a specific date, i...

Re: Can I Pause - Reboot My PC and then Resume a Backup?

Hi,

You have to Stop the backup, only then the catalog is saved.
After the restart, you can run again the backup and it will continue with the rest of the files.

Re: Recreate Catalog From Backup?

Hi, The backup catalog is saved at the end of the backup. If the backup fails for some reasons, the catalog is not saved. In order to find the cause of the failure, please send us the last backup log for that job, to support[at]backup4all[dot]com. You can also check the Windows Event Viewer to see w...
