For information to all forum readers, we found the solution.

The problem came from FileZilla that was not in UTF-8 mode. B4A does not change accents of letters during FTP uploads.

FTP Backup

Hi, I would like to use B4A to mirror 33 giga byte of data on a distant ftp. I have just finished to upload thoses files using an FTP client. And now I'd like B4A to compare both local and distant folders without uploading the files already on the ftp place. Is it possible to do this even if B4A was...

This is all about different accent, "à" becomes "Ã" with a different accent. The problem is not about lower/upper case but is why B4A changes the accent of letter.

thanks for your quick reply, but I think my question was not that clear.
On my computer, I have a folder named "voilà" but B4A creates a folder with this name "voilÃ" during the backup on a FTP location.

Do you say that this change is unvoidable ?

Hi,

B4A changes my filenames during a mirror backup on a FTP location : "à" becomes "Ã".
How can I avoid this change ?
